ODM mustn't seek endorsement through intimidation, Tell Raila to seek votes directly from the people

Kitui senator Enoch Wambua has told the ODM party off, over what he terms as use of intimidation and blackmail to seek endorsement from president Uhuru Kenyatta through the back door in the guise of handshake.

Mr. Wambua wondered why the ODM party is trying to drag the name of government officials like PS in the ministry of interior and co-ordination of government Karanja Kibicho of meddling in the 2022 politics, just for doing their jobs.
Senator Wambua was speaking during a live TV show at KTN NEWS television where he had been hosted for debate on the state of the handshake by TV anchor Ben Kitili, alongside Murang’a senator Irungu Kang’ata and Uriri MP Mark Nyamita.
The Kitui senator started by debunking the myth that the handshake might have been purely a peace deal between president Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. He said that sometimes what isn’t said comes clear than what is said.
“As a trained journalist let me tell you this, President Uhuru Kenyatta accepted the handshake to ensure a state of peace which would ensure that his government runs smooths. For Odinga, I belief he entered with expectations of some benefits among them seek endorsement for 2022. It seams that it has dawned to Raila that no one would endorse him and that why he has resolved to try other crude methods,” explained Mr. Wambua.
Mr. Wambua who seams to be arguing from the same side with his colleague in the senate Irungu kang’ata refuted claims by Uriri MP that all was fine as far as the handshake was concerned, claiming that it seams that ODM party leader Raila Odinga might have expected too much from the handshake and he wasn’t happy that all his demands weren’t being met.
“We are aware that way back in 2002, Raila Odinga jumped from KANU and joined the opposition after the then President Moi refused to endorse him for presidency. In 2013, Raila Odinga sought Kalonzo just because he needed his endorsement. Raila himself has severally admitted to have won the presidency both in 2013 and 2017, because Kalonzo supported him. Uriri MP should therefore stop lying to Kenyans that Mr. Odinga needed endorsement from no one,” added senator Wambua.
The Kitui senator urged the ODM party to seek votes directly from the people and stop relying on cruked ways of seeking backdoor endorsement from President Uhuru.
I want to state here clearly that my party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is my preferred presidential candidate for 2022 and he would be the next president of this country.
Murang’a senator Irungu Kang’ata on his side told Mr. Odinga to seek votes directly from Mt. Kenya residents and to stop believing on lies that anyone would endorse him.
“I still support DP Ruto for 2022 presidential race. I therefore advice Mr. Odinga to end his 2022 endorsement illusion and seek votes directly from the people,” Said the Murang’a senator.
