A team of Kamba elite politicians to deliver Machakos senatorial seat to Kalonzo

There is every possibility that the Wiper party shall win the senatorial seat for Machakos county. This is following enrolment of all Kamba elite politicians to deliver the seat which is a do or die for Wiper.

A tough contest is expected to feature Wiper party’s Kavindu Muthama, UDA’s Ngengele and Maendeleo ChapChap’s Katuku.
A wiper delegation of Kamba leaders led by Kitui senator Enoch Wambua and his counterpart from Makueni Mutula Kilonzo Junior and Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has for the past one week pitched Camp in Machakos doing vigorous campaign for their candidate Madam Kavindu Muthama.
Kalonzo has also summoned all Kamba MPs to campaign for the seat including MPs from Kitui led by Mwingi north MP Paul Nzengu, Women Rep Irene Kasalu and Mwingi west’s Charles Nguna. 

 

However, Kitui central’s Makali Mulu and his Mwingi central Dr. Gideon Mulyungi were conspicuously absent in yesterday’s rallies.
Losing in the contest in the contest, would be detrimental for the Wiper Party leader who is currently best positioned to get the mantle of leading other former NASA brigade after betrayal by their former Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Matuu and Yatta yesterday during their last public campaigns following a directive by president Uhuru Kenyatta, the Former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka put it clear that losing the seat would be detrimental to his presidential bid and that it would be equivalent to losing to his Kamba foes.
“If I win this seat the following day it would be celebrated and written as Kavindu’s seat, but if Kavindu loses in this by-election it would be taken as me Kalonzo who have lost to my competitors. Please don’t allow that,” urged the wiper party leader.
Kitui senator Enoch Wambua took the chance to warn the three Ukambani governor led by Kitui governor charity Ngilu that dire consequences would await them would they go behind the scenes to fight the wiper party leader, as gone are the days for tolerating such behavior.
“We won’t allow back stabbing of our party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and let me warn our three governor who are said to be meeting behind the scenes to undermine Kalonzo, we will deal with you ruthlessly,” warned senator Wambua.
He declared that the Machakos senatorial seat has already gone to Wiper and a seat at the senate has already been prepared for Kavindu.
For senator Mutula, the message was simple, he urged residents to eat the money which was been poured by other contesters and vote in Kavindu as their senator.
