Kalonzo in Big trouble for discouraging Kambas from Vying in Taita Taveta

By Our Correspondent

Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has found himself in huge criticism, after the remaks he made at Taita Taveta during his political tour in the county discouraging Kambas from vying for gubernatorial post in the county. Musyoka made the remarks for reasons which have remained a mystery to many.

The Kenyan constitution 2010 gave Kenyans more political freedom, including the freedom to vie for any elective post in any part of the country without ethnic discrimination. In a democracy like Kenya, the right to choose the best type of leaders to lead the nation is left to the voter.

Speaking during the burial of an upcoming footballer and Boda boda operator, late Elija Musee Musango at Ndui Village, Mathima in Kitui South Sub-county, Lower Eastern Hustler Nation Chapter Secretary General Alfred Wendi has condemned the recent remarks by the Wiper leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka claiming that Kambas shouldn't for the top seat in Taita Taveta as it was a preserve for the natives.

Wendi reiterated that besides demeaning the Taita-Taveta Kamba gubernatorial aspirations, Kalonzo's words also in a way took the country back to tribalism.

Wendi urged the former Vice President Kalonzo to desist from making such utterances which might cause tribal animosity and disenfranchise the kamba political hopefuls in other counties, adding that Kamba politicians ought to be left free to seek votes from all tribes as no single tribe can make it alone to the presidency

"The Wiper party leader's remarks were demeaning to the kamba community and shouldn't be taken seriously by anyone" said Wendi

The businessman reiterated  DP William Ruto's whom he supports is a true patriot whom respects democracy, and his hustler movement comprising of Kenyans from across the country would garner him enough votes for him to become the next president come 2022.
