VIDEO: Kyuso residents accuse governor Ngilu of corruption, ask her to resign

BY MWINGI TIMES TEAM

A section of residents in Kyuso ward, Mwingi North constituency have come out to accuse Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu of failure to deliver on her development promises and mismanaging county funds.

The locals spoke earlier this week and castigated Mrs. Ngilu  saying she was unfairly allocating county resources across the county with  county projects that her regime has done being only visible in Kitui Central – her backyard and the area she served as the MP for two decades.

The agitated locals in the company of their MCA Stephen Musili said the governor had neglected the region and was spending county resources in non- priority projects that they said were not of benefit to them.

They called on the county boss to vacate office.

This happened even as the neighboring Tharaka Ward residents threated to detach themselves from Kitui county over what they termed as marginalization by the county government of Kitui and the national government.

The minority Kitharaka Speaking Mwingi North residents in an audio that has gone viral said the area was not receiving tangible development from the two levels of the government. They had considered enjoining  the neighboring Tharaka-Nithi County across River Tana which  has the community's members as the majority inhabitants.
