Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna has lauded the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for putting key suspects in including senior government officials on the wanted list, in connection to the Kimwarer and Arror dam scandal where billions of money are thought to have been fraudulently lost.

Mr. Nguna’s remarks comes just a day after the Cabinet Secretary in charge of National Treasury Henry Rotich accompanied by other senior officials in the ministry presented themselves before the DCI for questioning, moments after arrest warrants were issued against them.

Speaking during at Kikiini primary school during distribution of development cheuqes to various schools in Migwani Sub County, the area MP lauded the President assisted by other crime fighting agencies for his steadfastness in the war against corruption, saying that the interdiction of CS Rotich is a clear signal of the seriousness of the president in winning the war.

Mr. Nguna said that it was a shame that few individuals would dare misuse money meant for actualizing development in the country, and stern actions ought to be taken to curb graft.
He said that it was high time to see the “Big Fish” in government going down in connection to the public funds they have stolen.

The legislator urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure that all corrupt individuals in the country are prosecuted and all public money which had been embezzled returned.
