TIMES REPORTER
Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has warned Wiper Party Chairman and the Senator of Kitui
David Musila to consider leaving the Wiper Party early enough, or risk being
locked out of the gubernatorial race amid claims of Kalonzo favouring the
incumbent.
Speaking
at Nuu in Mwingi East sub-county during a voter hunting event, Mutambu said
that Kitui people are in dire need of change of county leadership and since
Musila is their only hope, he should run away from Wiper early enough or his
dreams will be shuttered.
The
outspoken legislator also called upon the Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission to come up with clear policies on how voters will be allowed to vote
using only their identity cards, as currently there is no clear legislation
indicating the same.
He said
it would be unfair for people to be allowed to register without being issued
with voters cards, only to be turned away come August 8th.
